Premise: A former U.S. special forces soldier returns to his native Scotland after being framed for the mass destruction of a village in Afghanistan. In Scotland he plots revenge on his former commanding officer, but then gets blamed for another incident and finds himself being hunted by a group of deer hunters.
The script is based on an earlier screenplay, The Cull, by cult filmmaker Donald Cammell (Performance, The White of the Eye), yet it has been extensively rewritten and updated by Stanley.
