I think we all know the story; producer Bernd Eichinger (Resident Evil) had been for some years now sitting on the film rights of FANTASTIC FOUR. His contract had a clause that unless the production would commence before 31/12/93, the rights would revert back to Marvel, who would then be able to shop the property around to other interested parties.

Eichinger renewed his option with a stroke of genius - he called Corman. The resulting film is therefore basically a legal loophole, never intented for public consumption. Which naturally makes it all the more appealing.

How can one not love a film, which pushes the boundaries of screen acting to such a degree?

"Now begins the Doom actor's painful continuation of his tendency to confuse "acting" with "playing charades", as he proceeds to mime every word he says. When he says, "Hello, Dr. Richards", he actually waves hello, and then when he says, "Good to see you again," he actually points at his own eyes. I really wish I was making this stuff up. I mean, this guy is just a few short gestures away from inventing Latverian Sign Language." - Agony Booth review

The "real" FF film was released in 2005, with Eichinger still in the producer's seat. A sequel is currently being developed. A happier ending still, the original is now at Youtube and thus becomes visible to the human eye! So bring your telescopes, bring your imaginations and above all - have fun!

It erroneously lists 10 videos, while the actual amount is 9.

I managed to learn something from this movie:

-If you are wearing a full suit of metal armor made from the strongest modern alloys available, you will be helpless against an unarmed man if he decides to punch you in the face using only the strength of his arm instead of putting his body weight behind it.
