I was wondering- anyone who collects movies has to have one or two that are more or less scorned by 99% of the population. You know, the kind that people refuse to admit liking (or even seeing). However- regardless of what anyone else thinks, you have this kind of movie on your shelf- and you don't care what anyone thinks. (Or, you hide it from embarrassment)
So, what's in YOUR collection that other people raise an eyebrow at?
I'll go first:
On DVD:
Roadhouse- I can't defend this movie on an intellectual level, so I'll just say that it's entertainment, pure & stupid. Fight scenes and scantily-dressed women (throw in a few explosions for good measure)- what else could a guy ask for when looking for mindless fun?
On Laserdisc:
Tango & Cash- Same as above, but throw in a few hundred excruciating one-liners and the fact that the protagonists seem to be really enjoying themselves (throw in an over-acting Jack Palance for good measure) make this another winner in my book. (Note: "winner" does not necessarily equate to "Oscar material"!)
I Come In Peace (aka Dark Angel)- Yes, this is
that Dolph Lundgren movie where something's on fire in almost every frame of the movie. Again, I saw this in the theater (in a double-bill with Hardware, no less!) so I have a tender spot for this completely illogical action movie.
On VHS:
Commando- Oh, come on! Arnold in his prime making a technically inept action movie? This one's hilarious, so bad it's GREAT!

"I eat green berets for breakfast... and right now, I'm very hungry!" (A Scream!

)
Okay, I've bared my soul. Who's next?
