It's been a bit quiet recently. Yours truly is currently experiencing a case of divided loyalties, as I know more than I'm allowed to divulge on a public forum, yet I'd like to be able to throw a meaty bone to you long-starving lot.
Let's see now. Richard is currently alive and well, working on things to come soon enough if all goes well. First, the Terra Umbra website at shadowtheatre13.com & the blog at terraumbra13.blogspot.com - an entry in the latter was recently retooled into
a Fortean Times article.
Another thing, which has been somewhat publicized already: Richard's been laboring over an adaptation on JG Ballard's HIGH-RISE for director Vincenzo Natali and Recorded Picture Company. The recent surge of scripting duties has sort of thrown a wrench into everything else, but...
A short film based on Clark Ashton Smith's MOTHER OF TOADS will begin shooting in October at location in Southern France. The film will be a part of an upcoming anthology, scheduled for release next year. We're currently knee-deep in preproduction at the Shadow Theatre HQ, with a whole bunch of surprises on the way.
Yup, yours truly snagged a job on the film. Horrible, I know. As MOT is going to be a part of a larger whole, letting the cat out of the bag isn't entirely in our hands, so I can't exactly be running around passing details. But I can safely say you're going to like at least a few things on the opening credits alone...
