Sorry folks, for those of you that got e-mails regarding a new post in a few different message threads -- and didn't find any when you got here. Those weren't spurious e-mails .... there had been a reply. From a Spammer! Crap spam. All spam messages have been deleted, IP address registered, and banned.
I've had a fairly steady back-and-forth, between a couple of different hard-core spammers for the past couple of months. They're using bot-nets. And now their own spam-domain email servers, allowing them to try verification authentication. I ban 'em as fast as they crop up -- sorry one snuck in. :bonk:

I don't rememer getting anything at the time you mentioned, but I sure did get one in March of 2007, pretty rank, in several forums. Or was it in several topics? Hmmm, anyhow, I felt so darn sorry for you. The "Tribe" site of mine doesn't get many because well, we don't get anyone joining anyhow. But I do moderate on another site, rather big site, and I spend easily half my time culling them out, and then chasing down the ones who are automated and keep re-registering every minute.

One spammer had me in tears, as they were forging IPs, a new one for each register, and posting porno links about every 2 minutes. I couldn't block the IP, because it was forged. Naturally I couldn't block the host. AWful. We finally had to write a program designed to snag them.

Anyhow, it's nice to be back and a great big "HI' and huge squishy hug from me to all! I missed you guys badly.
