Trazodone -- an antidepressant used for insomnia -- was the most commonly prescribed sedative, followed by temazepam (Restoril) and zolpidem (Ambien), the findings showed.
Murray remained with the sedated Jackson for about 10 minutes, then left for the bathroom, the affidavit said. Less than two minutes later, Murray returned — and found Jackson had stopped breathing.

First the 10 mg and 6 months ago switched to the Ambien CR which is not all it's cracked up to be. It's a tablet so you can't break it in half, which I would do from time to time with the 10mg. Not sleeping can affect every part of your being.

I am now on Lamictal and Abilify, plus Temazepam for sleep...I try to limit the Temazepam to 15 mg per night, but sometimes, I have to boost it up to 30 mg. I have had Bipolar patterns all my life, and was diagnosed 10 years ago, after having bad labels from bad, inconsiderate doctors. I have Bipolar disorder and have been on combinations of meds that caused a huge increase in my weight, which was very depressing in itself. Risperdal caused a gain of 50 pounds, and Depakote added to that. There are some new medications that do not cause weight gain, or the fatigue that just adds to the problem.
