I'm a filmmaker in Baltimore. I remember last year, there was a story in the city paper about two filmmakers making a movie about the MAKING of the Island of Dr. Moreau. Apparently, it is actually in production. An actor on a movie I worked on last month auditioned for a role as Ron Pearlman! He didn't get it, but he said that they were well on their way to making the movie. Does anybody have any information on this?

It says the film is called Written Off, and it's animated. The actor said its animated digitally using photographs, so Marlon Brando or Richard Stanley will be played by themselves! I can't wait to see this! Does anybody know anything?
