A rough synopsis for Bones of the Earth, as presented by Richard Stanley in Espoo Cine:
The story is about an Al-Qaeda-connected Afghan/Medievalist character with brain damage, who's living rough in the Scottish Highlands. Every year he participates in the Highland Cull, in which rich people get to shoot deers and have their heads as souvenirs. The leading man is waiting for an American general to participate in the cull this year, and they proceed to meet various hunt saboteurs, freaks and people living the highlands during the hunt.
Now that Guy Pearce has been attached to the lead, Stanley said they're in the process of casting another important role, which I presumed to be the general. After that, he said, there's a good chance for Bones of the Earth to happen.

Eye of the Sun, the planned follow-up / sidequel documentary for Voice of the Moon is been put on hold due to the current conditions in Afghanistan. It may still happen one day, but Stanley seems to have enough projects on his plate to keep him preoccupied.
