mark 13 posted this topic over in Feedback; but since this is related to, well, our man Richard, I'm going to move my reply over here ...

Would be possible to have also the DUST DEVIL soundtrack?
And a series of international trailers of HARDWARE?

Hmmmm, wellll, Maybe.

I have the Dust Devil soundtrack, but I haven't decided what the best thing to do with that would be. This website does have a monthly bandwidth limit, and .. let's just say I'm pushing things as it is, with the HARDWARE soundtrack. And where would I put it? My site's theme is HARDWARE -- I don't have any Dust Devil stuff material. Hmm, maybe that just means I need to set up a Dust Devil site, next??

And trailers. I have just gotten a copy of a/the HARDWARE trailer! It's ... well, let's just say it's interesting, if pretty funky. And that's putting it very nicely. :o Give me a few days, I'll have to cobble up a 'Video' section, to put it in ...

And ... once you've seen it .. is anyone else aware of any other trailer? International, or otherwise? Because you KNOW we need a copy of it here, if it exists. So if ANYone ANYwhere is aware of ANY kind of trailer, even if it's on a reel, let me/us know! Must .... Have .....! :D

Well, I've the German DVD and inside it there's the german trailer: I could try to take it out.
But I'm not good with divx and similar (but I'll see).
At least, I can try to make a copy on VHS and send it to you: if you have an acquiring device to take it from tape, we'll be ok.

For the DUST DEVIL soundtrack, maybe you can put it into the BETWEEN DEATH AND THE DEVIL section, if there's enough space (or maybe not..).

Same difference. Server-wise, BDD is a subsidiary for EuiC. In other words, his bandwidth limit = my bandwidth limit. This is definetly an issue that requires some attention, as there's this huge interview with a certain fellow to begin with; to get it out in the open would require either a dedicated server to host video file(s) or a hellacious amount of transscribing.

But we'll think of something.

I don't think you could add subtitles to it, do you?

If Richard speaks as in the little documentary in the Laser Disc edition of DUST DEVIL, I'll need two years to understand everything of it! :D

The interview currently exists on MiniDV-tapes. I've so far made one VHS copy out of it, which I'm hoping to send to a certain fellow who has enough spare time to pester me about my conversation with Richard.

I could, but not for three hours worth. I'm still to decide what else I could do with the material aside publishing it as a transcribed piece.

Naturally, I just might try and cut a teaser trailer before the transcription would go online.

In case you missed the news post on the main page, I've put the (curious?) Trailer (from videodetective.com???) up. I don't have a dedicated Video page yet, so I'll give you a link to it, directly.

It can be seen/downloaded, Here!

And I of course recommend, for those running Windows and using Media Player as their viewer, to 'ALT-ENTER' upon playing, to get that Full Screen. :)

Finally I can watch the Videodetective trailer anytime I want! Yeah, it has really nothing to do with the german DVD one: personally, I prefer this one.
The Laser Paradise trailer uses too much tracks from the soundtrack: it starts with STABAT MATER, then dissolve into THE ORDER OF DEATH and eventually goes to STIGMATA.
Quiet messy actually: also, it's shorter.
And obviously, it ends with the title MARK 13 - HARDWARE.

Sorry to bump this from the back of beyond..
I don't have the Laser Paradise dvd so I haven't had a butchers at the German trailer. Is it in any way similar to the original Palace trailer?
That features a similar music track. However, it's marred by a hideous voice-over..
Jill: What is it?
Voice-over Dude: It's asleep.. etc.

The trailer is also framed at a similar ratio to Palace's video release.

I'm certain Palace slapped it onto the front of a couple of big box rentals, Wild At Heart for sure.

If this is all old hat, feel free to kick my arse.
