I'm trying to track down a copy of the Dust Devil script. Has anyone ever come across it? I've searched the web and several places that sell scripts and no one seems to have it.

Thanks,

Sean

I'm going to write an article about the differences between the American cut and the final cut of Dust Devil and I'm really interested to see what the original script looks like.

If the script ever does show up, can you drop me a line? Or tell me where I should check every once in a while?

Good, you'll save me the trouble!

Seriously, I've been doing doughnuts around that topic for a while, yet never exactly found the necessary time. I recommend checking out the DUST DEVIL diary, which gives out most of the omitted plot details.

And I doubt the script could come out via any other channel, as it predates the digital age.

All it takes is just one copy.....

Hopefully someone out there will eventually surface with a copy of the script. Has anyone asked Richard Stanley about it? I think I read an interview where he said he should give a copy to the interviewer. I wonder if he ever did.

I will read the Dust Devil Diary - I had printed it out but not yet read it.

I'll let you know if (when) the Dust Devil article is finished and published.

Thanks for your help.

Sean

Someone out here is working on it, but all parties have other agendas as well. They tend to come in and hinder the process.

Yes.

Not that the interviewer is aware of - yet.

If you need any help, feel free to ask, PM or otherwise. Looking forward to your piece.

I would love to one day read the Dust Devil script.
If anyone out there has it on paper and doesn't want to have to retype the whole thing in - there are a number of text recognition software packages out there that will convert printed text into digital text, all you need is a scanner.

If anyone were to send me a copy I'd be happy to convert it :D

Just thought I'd give you peeps an update.

The script has arrived, a December 1990 production draft. Formerly the exclusive copy of producer Jo-Anne Sellar - still has her name written on the cover sheet with a magic marker.

I will dutifully transcribe the script into a digital form, which will be available through the usual channels, hopefully during this spring.

Felt I needed to say it in order to actually get off my butt and do it.

Due to production line hassles, the transcribing has been hindered.

Now at page 66 (out of 108).

It's coming and it'll be worth the wait.
